Why Buy Tesamorelin?
Researchers buy Tesamorelin because it is the only FDA-approved GHRH-type peptide shown to cut deep belly (visceral) fat. It is a man-made copy of Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH). In a large clinical trial, it lowered visceral fat by about 15% over 26 weeks while the placebo group rose.[1] It does this by triggering the body’s own pulse-style GH release, which keeps the natural feedback loop intact.
Its full GHRH sequence gives it complete action at the GHRH receptor, producing a steady, natural-style GH release that closely copies the body’s own pattern.
Benefits & Uses
Tesamorelin is mainly used to study GH release and fat reduction.[1] Common research areas include:
- GHRH receptor action and GH pulse research
- Visceral and trunk fat reduction models
- Metabolic syndrome and body composition studies
- IGF-1 axis and downstream anabolic signaling
- Blood lipid (cholesterol/triglyceride) research
- Thinking and GH-deficient aging models
How It Works
Tesamorelin works by binding the GHRH receptor on the pituitary gland, which triggers GH release in natural pulses rather than a flat dose like injected GH. The extra GH drives the liver to make IGF-1, which helps break down fat in deep belly tissue — the basis of its FDA-approved use.[1] In trials, lower visceral fat went along with better lipid levels.[2] Because it keeps the natural feedback loop, it lowers the risk of GH overshoot in long-term research models.

Canada FAQs
Is Tesamorelin FDA-approved?
Yes. Tesamorelin (Egrifta®) is FDA-approved to treat HIV-related fat buildup (lipodystrophy).[1] Reviv Peptides supplies the research-grade peptide.
How does it differ from CJC-1295?
The difference is the sequence. Tesamorelin uses the full 44-amino-acid GHRH sequence for complete receptor action, while CJC-1295 uses a shorter version with a DAC tag for a longer half-life. It more closely copies the body’s natural GH pattern.
Is Tesamorelin available in Canada?
Yes. Reviv Peptides ships Tesamorelin 10 mg vials across Canada.
Reconstitution & Dosing Guide
How to Reconstitute
Add 3.0 mL of bacteriostatic water to the vial. Aim the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial — do not spray it straight onto the powder. Swirl gently until it fully dissolves; do not shake. This gives about 3.33 mg/mL. Store the mixed vial at 4 °C and use within 28 days.
Low Starting Amount
- Amount per injection: 1 mg (1,000 mcg) — 30 units (0.30 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe
- Frequency: Once daily, under the skin (evening)
- Cycle length: 12–26 weeks
The FDA-approved therapeutic dose is 2 mg daily; protocols often start at 1 mg for the first week.
