Why Buy Epitalon?
Researchers buy Epitalon because it is one of the most studied peptides for telomere and aging research. It (Epithalon) is a four-amino-acid peptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) based on a pineal gland protein, and in lab studies it switches on telomerase — the enzyme that keeps the protective caps (telomeres) on the ends of chromosomes from shrinking.[1] Reviv Peptides offers it in Canada as a 10 mg lyophilized (freeze-dried) vial.
It is one of the most investigated pineal peptides, with decades of preclinical data on cell aging, body clock (circadian) biology, and anti-tumor signaling.[3]
Benefits & Uses
Epitalon is studied mostly for telomere biology and longevity pathways. Common research uses include:
- Telomerase (hTERT) activation and telomere length research[1]
- Pineal gland function and melatonin regulation[3]
- Cell cycle and anti-growth (anti-proliferative) studies[2]
- Longevity and healthspan pathway research[2]
- Antioxidant enzyme (SOD, GPx) studies
- Circadian rhythm and sleep models
How It Works
Epitalon works by turning on the gene for the active part of telomerase (hTERT) in body cells, which can slow the telomere shortening linked to aging.[1] In one cell study, aging fibroblasts treated with it grew their telomeres back to a younger length and made about 10 extra cell divisions compared with untreated cells.[2] It also acts on the pineal gland to support melatonin and the body clock, and in lab models it is studied for antioxidant and anti-tumor signaling effects.[3]

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Epitalon really activate telomerase?
In lab studies, yes. Several in vitro studies have shown that it raises hTERT expression and telomerase activity in human cells, including fibroblasts, leading to longer telomeres.[1][2] These findings support its use as a research tool for telomerase biology. Most of this work comes from a small number of research groups, so broader independent data is still limited.
How does Epitalon relate to the pineal gland?
It comes from Epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. It acts on the pineal gland to support melatonin and is studied in circadian rhythm, sleep, and brain-aging models.[3]
Is Epitalon available in Canada?
Yes. Reviv Peptides ships it across Canada.
Reconstitution & Dosing Guide
How to Reconstitute
Add 2.0 mL of bacteriostatic water to the vial. Inject the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial — do not spray it onto the powder. Gently swirl until it fully dissolves; do not shake. This gives about 5.0 mg/mL. Store the mixed vial at 4 °C and use within 28 days.
Low Starting Dose
- Dose per injection: 5 mg (5,000 mcg) — 100 units (1.00 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe
- Frequency: Once daily, subcutaneous injection (evening)
- Cycle length: 20 days in a row, then 4–6 months off
Typical protocol: 2 cycles per year.
