Why Buy GHK-Cu?
Researchers buy GHK-Cu because it is one of the most studied peptides in skin and tissue-repair science. GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper) is a small copper-binding tripeptide found naturally in the body. In lab studies it changes the activity of a large number of genes, including ones that control collagen, wound healing, new blood vessel growth, and inflammation.[1] That makes it a common tool in skin, hair-follicle, and connective-tissue research.
Its levels in the blood fall with age — from about 200 ng/mL at age 20 to about 80 ng/mL by age 60. This drop lines up with slower tissue repair as we get older.[1]
Benefits & Uses
GHK-Cu is mainly used to study skin repair and collagen building.[2] Common research areas include:
- Collagen (types I and III) and elastin building
- Wound healing and skin barrier repair research
- Hair follicle stimulation and follicle biology studies
- Anti-inflammatory gene activity research (NF-κB lowering)
- Antioxidant (ARE) pathway activation
- Tissue remodeling and MMP enzyme studies
- Nerve regrowth and neurite outgrowth models
How It Works
GHK-Cu works as a signal molecule that adjusts a wide network of genes. Studies show GHK can shift the activity of thousands of human genes toward a healthier, younger pattern.[1] It binds copper ions and hands them to copper-using enzymes needed for collagen cross-linking (lysyl oxidase) and antioxidant defense (SOD). It also raises VEGF and FGF to help new blood vessels form, and lowers TGF-β1 to reduce scarring — giving a balanced repair response.[2]

Frequently Asked Questions
What does it do in wound healing research?
In wound healing research, GHK-Cu speeds up how fast a wound closes. It boosts collagen and other repair molecules, helps new blood vessels form through VEGF, and lowers scarring by reducing TGF-β1 — leading to cleaner, faster repair in animal wound models.[2]
Is GHK-Cu the same as a copper peptide serum?
No. Copper peptide skincare serums use GHK-Cu as their active ingredient, but at low cosmetic strengths. Reviv Peptides supplies a research-grade version, which differs in strength, form, and purity from cosmetic products.
Is GHK-Cu available in Canada?
Yes. Reviv Peptides ships GHK-Cu 100 mg vials across Canada.
Reconstitution & Dosing Guide
How to Reconstitute
Add 3.0 mL of bacteriostatic water to the vial. Aim the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial — do not spray it straight onto the powder. Swirl gently until it fully dissolves; do not shake. This gives about 33.3 mg/mL. Store the mixed vial at 4 °C and use within 28 days.
Low Starting Amount
- Amount per injection: 1.0 mg — 3 units (0.03 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe
- Frequency: Once daily, under the skin (Mon–Fri, weekends off)
- Cycle length: 8–12 weeks, then 2–4 weeks off
